About Us

Diverse Portfolio with Strategic Exposure

Great Western Mining is a strategic minerals exploration and development company with a portfolio of wholly owned projects in Nevada's Walker Lane Belt, one of the world's premier mining jurisdictions.

The Company's primary focus is the Defender–Pine Crow Project, where exploration has strengthened the interpretation of a mineralised tungsten trend extending approximately 3 km between the historic Defender and Pine Crow mines, the Widowmaker Mine and the Company's M2 copper resource.

Alongside its tungsten strategy, Great Western continues to advance the Huntoon Copper Project, which hosts a JORC-compliant copper resource, while maintaining exposure to gold and silver through its broader Nevada exploration portfolio.

Our Strategy

1. Define a Tungsten Resource

Advance Defender–Pine Crow through drilling and technical evaluation, targeting a maiden tungsten Mineral Resource Estimate.

2. Assess Corridor Scale

Test continuity across the 3 km mineralised corridor linking Defender, Pine Crow, Widowmaker and the M2 copper resource.

3. Advance Copper & Precious Metals

Progress the Huntoon Copper Project while selectively advancing gold and silver opportunities across the portfolio.

 4. Maintain Disciplined Capital Allocation

Focus investment on high-impact exploration while using partnerships and joint ventures to unlock wider portfolio value.

Tungsten Potential

Tungsten is one of the world's most strategically important critical minerals, valued for its exceptional hardness, heat resistance and strength. It is essential to defence, aerospace, advanced manufacturing and semiconductor production, with few practical substitutes in many applications.

Great Western's Defender–Pine Crow Project is centred on an emerging tungsten opportunity in Mineral County, Nevada. Combining historic tungsten production, favourable geology and significant exploration potential, the project is located within one of the world's premier mining jurisdictions at a time of growing demand for secure domestic supplies of critical minerals in the United States.

Copper Potential

Through 5,000 metres of drilling, Great Western has established a JORC compliant Indicated and Inferred Resource of 4.3 million tonnes at 0.45% copper (19,000 tonnes contained copper). Since then, the copper story has expanded from the original resource to the adjacent West Huntoon area where soil and grab sampling, mapping, the discovery of a significant granite outcrop and a geophysical (IP) survey have contributed to establishing a porphyry setting which the Company believes to have the potential to be a major new copper mine.

A second porphyry setting 11 miles to the southeast has also been established at the Company’s Eastside Mine claims, which have now been pooled with neighbouring claims held by Bronco Creek Exploration, Inc.
