Company overview
Great Western Mining Corporation PLC is a London AIM and Dublin ESM listed company focussed on copper, silver gold and other mineral targets in Mineral County, Nevada. Since the Company’s incorporation in October 2004 it has surveyed and staked 896 claims split into 3 groups in six separate areas.
GWM’s ordinary shares were admitted to trading on PLUS in 2006 and in August 2011 listed on AIM as part of an IPO to raise £1 million. The joint listing on Dublin’s Enterprise Securities Exchange took place in November 2011 to take advantage of the growing investor base in Ireland.
In total over €3 million has been raised to fund: the acquisition of claims; acquire data and preliminary survey work including aero magnetic and ASTER satellite image studies; sampling; metallurgical testing and the commissioning of expert reports.
A Competent Persons Report published with the move to AIM identified the presence of potentially bulk quantities of Copper and Silver across the Company’s claims. To this end, an Induced Polarisation (IP), Resistivity survey (conducted in November 2011) was carried out over three locations considered as priority areas for drilling.
The selected targets are situated in the centre of GWM’s extensive claimed area on the western and southern margins of the Black Mountain claim group, covering three anomalies over an area of approximately 15 sq. km. The data quality was considered to be excellent and the coverage appears to have provided effective penetration down to at least 450 metres.
As a result, the drilling rig will move into position early 2012
This is the start of a programme to deliver shareholders a series of resource estimates leading to a bankable study.
